LOCAL PUBS

The heart of any community in the 19th century centred around the pub, inn or tap room.
Rame Peninsula was no different, not quite a pub on every corner, but nevertheless a large number some of which only remain as a name -
their exact whereabouts lost.

Jack Spense, one of our Rame History Group Members, has researched and subsequently created the PDF file below which gives details of the local pubs

Local Pubs (revised 17.5.2022)

We hope to have some information shortly on the 'Devonport' in Kingsand and the 'Edgcumbe Arms/Hotel'.

The Morning Chronicle February 15, 1814

Which mention:
The Prince George at Kingsand
(see 'Local Pubs' above)

and
The Dock Inn, Millbrook
and
